Which Do You Prefer in Games?

When you choose your games do you have a particular thing you usually pick up most often? Have you ever picked up the opposite? What was your experience when you did?

Since I'm military IRL, I like the BF series (BF2: SF ROCKS!!!) and "realistic" FPS games more so than the Doom3 / Quake4 types... I even like some 3P games, like Brothers in Arms and Full Spectrum Warrior, more so than Solitaire, etc...

I mean, I do this stuff for a living, one would think I would maybe like an escape from reality whenever I get my game on... Dunno why, I just do...

Now suit up and report in for duty, soldier! :stand-sal

Not that I'm a gamer by any stretch of the imagination, I honestly just play whatever looks good on the box and seems to have a good story line. although I'm a FPS person for the most part , I've found that i like the point/click type of games now too.

Strategy - whether historical, fantasy, current, or future.

I really enjoy games that have a strong basis in fantasy (whether it's sword and sorcery or science fiction). I really enjoy strong good/evil archetypes cast on a fantastical world. I have a tendency to shy away from games that have more of a real life basis.

I like realistic looking games and when I make maps, I try to make them look as realistic as possible.

When you review RF make sure you do some screens of some of your maps.

They are unreal how detailed she makes them.

I guess this wont come as a surprise as most of my posting here todate has proclaimed my
pleasure with RPG. So when I decide to fork over the cash thats where my $$ go.
Oh yea fantasy is the game for me.

Now I have experience with some FPS and I do like them but mostly I play those with my grand kids.

I typically like the games that give you a lot of free reign, plus the option of a lot of solo work. I really don't like PuGs all that often.

I met some people that owned a PuG once.

:biggergri PUG = Pick Up Group. Basically, it's teaming with a bunch of strangers: more often than not (at least for me) it turns out horribly....oh, the humanity.

deffinitely gotta have both i love sci-fi and realistic shooters although halo is my most hated game it lacks a good story and it's realism factor is sub-zero.

Generally all pretty much furutisic of sci-fi in some way, although I have been sucked in by Company of Heroes.

Mainly the futuristic FPS for me.........although I do like the military ones too.......
