| I voted : "after i read some reviews, i'm a skeptic". It was a toss up between that one and "Play a friend's copy first". Bottom line is that i don't mind paying the full price for the game, but if i'm gonna plunk down that much cash for a game, i'm darn well going to make sure that it's going to be something that i'm going to like and play. Hype may be what initially gets my attention, but research on the topic is what gets me to open (or close) my wallet. | ||

| I have to admit that I try to wait on most games until they hit the bargain bin. My unfortunate symptom called obsession has prevented me from buying most games when they are released. See, the thing is that once I install it, that's all I do until I beat the game. For example, Halo took me about 22 hours to beat from the moment that I installed it. Usually, I don't wait quite that long....mostly until that $50 game at Wally World drops to around $20, then I'll buy it. Rob | ||

| I picked "after some reviews", but if I find out about it early on enough, I'll DL the demo for it from Fileshack or some such place, and then wait for the release date and pester the sales clerks until I have my copy in hand, or just look for the "next big thing"... | ||
