Video card Pelts

i am going to make a watercooled system and as i was going threw the cpu waterblocks i came across

Swiftech MCW50-T Water Cooled 80W TEC Assembly for Graphics Processors

and i wanted to ask if putting a TEC on the gpu would be a smart idea and if i would get any good results as usual thanks for your time

by the way my ATI is now OCed core 400mhz memory 310 with my koolance system

You might squeeze a little more overclock out of your gpu with a tec. Your ram is maxxed out. But there is always an inherent danger when using tecs. If it goes...the gpu goes. And you'll need a psu that can handle it as well. In my opinion the return isn't worth the investment. You've already got a great overclock.

You weren't planning on using it with your Koolance were you?

I don't think I've read an article yet that would highly recommend TEC cooling a graphics card, simply because its unneccesary. A lot of extra money for little to no gain. And then theres that little issue of power usage. Did I also mention that the TEC will heat up the water much more, meaning the water going to the CPU would be hotter, and any other blocks in the series? Watercooling is more than enough. I would just save that money for other mods.

no i was not going to use it with my koolance i am going to make a new high flow system in a lan liu if the cash flow works out for me...

thanks for your input guys i thought pretty much what you said but i just wanted to see what you would say anyway i will just get a normal gpu block
