| Ah don't take it that way playa, DW was just looking out for your best interest. Water cooling is not for everyone. You did take the time to ask the things you weren't sure about and that's a good thing. There are no stupid questions. Post some temps when you get 'em. | ||

| Apex Master Tech | the only problem is this when i started up it was 1900+ and the temps were 35 so i put it at 2200+ and restarted, it said cpu something or other cant start up. so i reboot and put at 2100+. save and restart, i can hear the computer booting but nothing on monitor. i take out graphics card put back in and reboot computer, its in 1500+. so i put on 1900 and reboot, same monitor mumbo jumbo. then i restart and let it run, cpuz sees it at 1205mhz when it should be 1607mhz , mbm sees ambient at 37 and cpu at 39 with underclocked proc. hmmmm any ideas? | |

| Uh....well.....err...The mounting of the radiator in the door is a unique touch. Perhaps after you clean up the wiring it will look much better. Believe AntiM when he say watercooling is not for everyone. I thought I was going to go the whole nine yards and watercool my rig, but after much ballyhoo I ended up selling the W/C kits I bought. There was just too much of a hassle for me. ![]() | ||

| you have to...... Get the manual..... look for reset CMOS then if you want to keep overclocking.... Look for SoftMenu in the manual. that board you have (abit kx7-333r) is very overclocker friendly..... and there are many overclocking options available to you with that board.... remember always RTFM.... | ||

| What motherboard are u using? I was stuck with an older Asus, had realy lame overclocking options. Only could adjust the front side bus, and when you turned that up, the AGP and PCi bus went up with it. I also couldn't adjust my voltages. That sounds like what you need to do, I can't post at 2.3GHZ with stock voltage, but works fine when I turn it up a bit on the CPU and Memory. Even then I only need to go up just a little, 1.65v is stock CPU, I go up to 1.725, and then 2.7v to the memory (2.6 stock) If that is the case, and you can't adjust anything, Get a new Motherboard. My Abit Nf7 can unlock the CPU, adjust voltage, and lock the Agp at 66mhz and the PCI at 33mhz, wich also leads to stability. The best Oc I got on the Asus was around 2140, on my Abit I can get 2.4GHZ with the same CPU, but it gets over 45c when I start Folding@Home, so I leave it at 2.3GHZ and she stays at 42c on air. Actual voltages needed may vary! *EDIT* Nevermind..... I see the motherboard was posted before I finished writng my post, that is not the problem ![]() Last edited by $SOLID$ Necro; 02-August-03 at 08:40 PM.. | ||
