Just go to dangeden's site. It's not that tough really. You'll want nylon washers next to your board so it doesn't short. And nuts on each side to hold the rods in place. Then the block goes in place. Another washer on top of the block, then springs, another washer, then wing nuts.

If you follow the pdf instructions you really can't go wrong. The only thing I can add is you may have to trim a washer slightly so it sits flush on the top part of your mobo. Just make sure everything has good clearance.

Right on DW; I dont even have water cooled setups and I have a good sense of how it all goes; this is going to be one very long thread if you do not even have the common sense to mount a waterblock, no offense AMD Playa but I think you might be in over your head...

Well guys he kinda already has the stuff so instead of telling him he is in over his head why dont we help him out?

Just follow that pdf that AntiM linked to and you should be fine, but you might want to assemble and test it for leaks before you put it in your case.

If I were, I wouldn't even begin thinking about installing the waterblock especially considering you just got it. Instead I would hook everything up and leak test it first. Leak testing is a very important step, even more for the beginner. Run it for 24hrs and make sure water doesn't drip out. You may want to put dye in the water and then put paper underneath everything so if any does drip out it will be visible.

Just my 2cents.

NOT FOOD COLORING THOUGH. You need to get some good UV dye or somethign that is alright for using in a wcing setup.

I guess it was a given for using specific WC dye and not food coloring, but alass I forgot he is new to WC'ing. I don't WC, but I do know what you're not supposed to do. After looking at the parts for the block I think I even found out how to assemble it, but I'd still take a look at the instructions. Computers are just big-boy legos, with alot less pieces.

dude AMD-playa, I hope you are able to do this just to show that if a noob sets his mind to something he/she can do it.

I am too chicken to go anywhere near water cooling or pletiers. I accept that. Fear of condensation near my hardware scares me. I like my air conditioned comp. room and fans do the cooling thing.

Best of luck!

Hey, no food coloring, peanut butter, or glitter. Pumps don't like it.

My WC stuff should be in soon, as in after I get back to Mobile, and I'll be chillin with tha wawa soon enough, but I'm asking all my questions now, instead of later. No dis intended. I was worse than him once, let him roll. We all gotta learn somewhere.

No teflon tape on the barbs. Buy some teflon tape playa...it's dirt cheap and no block should be put together without it. Also a good idea to make sure the allen bolts holding the block together are tight.

DD doesn't use teflon on their bards. They glue the barbs in. Not sure what they use but on my Maze 4 its pretty solid stuff. I still might put some plumbers goop around the outside of mine just to be safe.
