| Ok guys i just wanted to let you know about the DTEK waterblocks. Well i got up one morning and i looked into my case with the lights on in it and there was red water all over in the bottom of my case and on the one thing i wish it wouldn't have hit. My brand new ATI 9700 Pro. I was pissed sure enough when i dried it out with alcohol and turned my system on i got post failure. Sysytem VGA failed. I was pissed. I have to buy a brand new GPU now because all of dtek's stuff sucks. I am just waiting for my reservoir to go now. My waterblock was actually leaking through the copper and the poly. REally wierd. it was leaking throught th O-ring and everything not through the barbs.??? Oh well we all learn. As someone stated in a thread a little while ago if you don;t have the money to fix something then don't water cool. Just wanting to warn you abou tthere products. | ||

| Direct Cool Hoe | Rokk to the rescue...Heart must still be poundin' eh bro!! Dudley123, How long did you test your system "wet" without the computer on? Might have you loostened the fitting when you were installing the parts? We always say to test the system before and after installation without the computer on. I feel for you d00d, When my system was new and untested(wet/running CPU) I wouldn't even think of putting the side cover back on, or running it unattended...I know what smoking new parts is like though...nuttin like it (D-123, PM me asap)Last edited by ZENNZZO; 01-August-03 at 04:29 AM.. | |

| Dudley I have the TC-4 polly top block too. I think that you were just the unlucky winner of the bad luck lottery. In most cases, when a company is inspecting machined or manufactered parts, they only inspect 10% of a batch. And this is just a random pull. So for every 100 blocks Quality Control will pick 10 out and do a full inspection. If they don't find any flaws in the 10 they pick, then QC assumes that the whole batch of 100 is good. Well as you can see it does leave room for error. | ||
