Well nice idea but reading more closely reflects that these are only available up to 3/8th hose and 60 PSI. not gonna cut it in a 1/2 kit using a hydor L30 ;( get the same connects Putwig used. Found in his write up HERE A sample image
Peace out

Actually DW those are very restrictive. I use them only for filling and flushing.

If you read the article you will see that during normal operation, they are completely isolated from the flow loop.

You may remember that I initially had them as part of my inline system, but testing revealed severe flow restriction. Hence the re-design, much better now!

Here is the flow data:

What about using quick connects for garden hosing they would be very large diameter and offer little in the way of flow restriction, also, you could get them at Home Depot.

The 1/2" barb version of those should work fine AMD-playa. The pressure drop isn't bad at all as quick-connects go. Any quick connects are gonna knock down flow rate considerably. But the Hydor should handle it well enough. It's pretty much the same quick connect Xoxide sells.

You'll want 2 barb inserts and 2 barb bodies.
