Default two easy watercooling questions

1)is it a good idea to mount a radiator fan into a blowhole in a window? if so should i make sure the radiator is touching the bottom of the case for support or can it be connected to whe window only? what im thinking about is putting a radiator in this window.

2)has anyone ordered from www.voyeurmods.com? do they get the stuff out quick?

Yes, that would be just fine. It would depend on the weight of the radiator and thickness of your window whether or not you need to brace it.

That would be the window moulding to use, because it locks the plexi in a channel, holding it firmly in place.
A little slack in the hoses and mount the radiator with the fittings at the bottom of the case, just slide the side cover back and lay it down flat...Good idea, never seen it done that way before, but that would work!

If I were to mount a radiator on the working side case door, I would definitely be looking at some quick disconnects.

Where would the window hole be positioned case wise? Most rads with a fan wouldn't have enough clearance for the PCI cards in most cases. And if you flop it over so the hole is toward the front of the case it wouldn't clear the hd cages.

Good point,
I often overlook the obvious,
That's probably why I haven't seen that before. duuuuh.
He could mount fan w/grill outside and radiator inside except the "Butt Ugly" factor would far outweigh the coolness factor.
Do I hear "hot plexi "stretch for clearence?

i would be placing the glass with the hole near the front. i took out my hdd cage and 3.5 cages to make some room. i was just gunna put the radiator and fan inside completly but i want ambient air coming straight to the radiator so im gettin a blowhole. i have no front intake so the only place left is the opening panel so why not make it a window? im gunna be running 1/2 fittings anyone know where i could get these quick disconects?

You could do like a bolt on Exhaust system. Make a stand for the Rad then Put it on So the RAD stays in place but the window IS still mobile and is able to come on and off with no problems, see what im saying. then you could put like clear hosing connecting the port in the window to the fan blowing off the rad.

Heat be gone

Home Depot, lowes hardware, checker, autozone, walmart, Ebay, frozen cpu.com, Your home maybe, ehhhh, hmmm, ahh, ok let me think some more.............................................. ..

Oh yeah a science store would have the valves your looking for but for a hefty price so I would suggest one of my first stores.
Check some out you might find what your looking for, or at least get an idea as to how to do what you want to do.

I had a high school physics teacher that told us something that has always stuck with me. He said, "You can't possibly remember everything you'll need to know to work effectively as a scientist or engineer. You just need to learn how to where to look for that information."

My bookmarks file is HUGE. Everytime I start to research something I create a new folder and put all the links pertaining to it in that folder. The quick connect links just happened to be something I ran across looking for something else. Thinking it might come in handy some day, I tossed it in my "watercooling" folder.

Short answer would be: I googled it.

well depending on the kinda case, why dont you just put the window somewhere besides the door? Tons of cases get Top windows with blowholes in em. It would still look good I think. BTW, Good thinking, I hadnt thought about it yet, I just may have to do that If I ever get my hands on a water cooling setup that doesnt eat nuts for breakfast...
