Default having problems with fan plz help

I'm in the process of completing a DIY radiator in which i used one of those 71 Caprice heatercores and plan on attaching 2 120mm YStech 120mmx38 fans on it. Problem is, before i attach them to my shroud i tested it and the fan seems to be going much slower than i expected. (It's supposed to be putting out 125+ CFM with a noise lvl of 'bout 454 dBa) I plugged them in and they are actually quieter than my little 80mm Antec case fans (supposedly 32 dBa or something like that). I think i probably made a real newb mistake with the voltages or something. Dont know..... If anyone could suggest some possible tests or fixes i would greatly appreciate it.

How are the fans wired?

And what are they connected to?

if you dont have one already... pick up a mulitimeter... ( you can get one from sears, walmart , any hardware store for bout 20 bucks) and test the voltages make sure you are getting your full 12V..... multimeter is deinfly a handy tool to have.

Did they come untailed and did you wire them yourself? or didja just plug them right into the PSU

I connected the 2 fans via 2x 3/4 pin adapters. Thats about all I can tell you since my ignorance pertaining to the wiring of my case is great. (My brother actually did it and I can't contact him at this time.) Anyway, I hope my proficiency with a camera will make up for my lack of skill when it comes to wiring. A picture is worth a thousand words.....so here are 4000 for you that will hopefully explain the situation better than i ever could.

Sry for the long post

If you have more questions plz dont hesitate.......or if you need more photos I will be just as happy to comply.

Thanks for the help..........and i think i will head Scapegoats advice and get a mulitimeter as well.

looks to me like they're hooked up to the 5vt side (red and black). They need to be hooked to the 12vt.(yellow and black)
Welcome to pimprig...

Though Zennzzo got your wiring right, you should consider cutting up your fan wires and custom wiring them, on your case there is a small overhang on the floor of the case thats perfect for wire concealment and can be utilized quite easily.
It would really clean up that slight rats nest of cables you got there

Thanks....btw, how exactly do i go about re-wiring my case? Do I strip and attach the wires manually without the large plastic connectors? I've looked at the case gallery on this site and it puzzled me how some of them can be so neat. As of now all i did was zip-tie all the crap together but it still impedes the airflow quite a bit.

P.S. Thanks for all the advice ppl....I love this forum

Pull the pins out of the big plastic "molex" connectors using a pin-puller of some kind (homegrown or store bought) and connect them individually with heat shrink tubing or solder the wires together and insulate with heatshrink . It's the cleanest when you finalize the location of all your components..It's really the final step for me. If not, you too will be repeating the
solder/ heatshrink over and over...Truly an artform to make them totaly stealth. good luck!
