As of now that is the waterblock to have!! Cather has done a great job on researching and development on his waterblocks. I was thinking of getting on the waiting list to have him pop one out for me, but then decided on making my own waterblock. BTW I have receiced my D-tek barbed o-ring fittings that i will be using on my block. And hopefully I will have the copper machiend out by this upcoming weekend.

Man you boys are getting into extreme mods. I'm still down here with my custom windows and LCD, and your all the way into custom building water blocks. Damn I gotta catch up to you guys. *goes out and buys a block of copper and starts ****ing it up in an attempt to make a waterblock and cries in frustration*.

I did always think that water-blocks needed to be researched further than thier basic principals and then adding in some grooves for the water to run thru.
I saw quite some design diferences from the Maze-3 when I bought my new maze4. Cant comment on the new temps because my rig is down for maintanence.....(pump busted...waiting for new hardware.
That dose look like quite an advancement in stepping up the turbulence..

Y'now I just realized I dont get how a 3 barbed waterblock is supposed to work.....where do the 2 hoses go into which the water goes "out"?

In a three barb design water enters in the center directly over the core. And exits out the other two. In Cathar's designs it isn't really an essential cooling feature, more a design convenience. You'll notice in the above design he has dropped the third barb in the final design. (first pic)

The tubing from the two barbs in the Original White Water hooks to a wye and back into a single tube. Or better, to two seperate barbs on a res. But it's really the inpingement and the micro channels that do the cooling. The Cascade above is a pure inpingement cooler.
