Default coldpate or sep. waterblock

tierd of watercoolin alredy...need sumthing more complicated

a water chiller

what do you think would be a better way to do it. using a cold plate or a diff waterblock (like icpipers)

both would do about the same, but i think coldplate should be more effective, since the pelt is right on the cpu

right?

also about wut pelt should i get ( watt wise)

You should always use a cold plate when using a pelt between your wb and cpu.
Heres a good site with some articles on how to get started with pelties.

Best temps would be with a cold plate on the CPU, however, you also have a lot more motherboard and socket prep involved to gaurd against condensation.

The chiller setup will buy you a few degrees, and has much less danger of condensation.

Also, if you have a coldplate/CPU combo and your pelt fails, you will very likely lose your CPU. The pelt becomes a very effective insulator seperating your proc from the water block.

If you pelt fails in a chiller, you are down to just normal water cooling.

So, all in all the chiller set up is much easier and safer, but also much less effective.

Youre kidding, right?
BA does a full review of a Vapochill, which is on the FRONT PAGE and you want to know what to do and what it gets you.
