Default Watercooling Systems

I've heard various speculation of late on the topic of thermaltake. but i need a solution fast my X2 3800+ @ 2.3Ghz is running at 52 Degrees Celsis. i have found this Thermatake BigWater SE and wondering if it is an appropite investment otherwise ill just have to wait and make my own water system up ;(......... which i suppose isnt a bad thing it'll just cost a lot and this thermaltake is sounding like the way to go at the moment. any other ideas ???? (mind you im in australia)

It's not bad, it's just a midrange watercooling kit...it certainly won't compete with a set up from Danger Den though.

High end air cooling such as a Thermaltake Big Typhoon, will nearly keep up with something like that for alot less money... then again, water is just plain "Cool"

The aquagate is not something id refer my worst enemy too.
I did a little review on one a while ago for a mates site ( no longer up ) and the performance was nothing id like to share with anyone on air.
The stock 80mm fan inside the system runs at 12v and is loud even when u have 2 38x120mm panaflows running next to it.
My advice to anyone that wants to jump into the h20 secne is to, do it once, do it right.
U dont want to fry that nice expensive 3800 dualie now do u.
Dangerden would be my choice, as this is what i use in all my systems, and ive tried everything pretty much.

You should be able to find SilverProp gear easily where you're at. After all, it's made in Australia.
SilverProp makes some very good performing blocks. Asetek, Swiftech, Corsair, Alphacool are probably also available in your area.

A couple of good places in OZ are:

http://www.radiical.com.au/ - they have brilliant service (answer all of my noob questions politely and quickly) and test all of the stuff that they make

Also: http://www.chilledpc.com.au/ - they carry a whole bunch of popular manufacturer's gear too

Check them out

(across the ditch, hehehe)
do u choose any particular brands coz' i've been looking at the Radiical and they have sorta changed my mind now ive got the idea to go with me own system and get the non-conductive coolent (so i can stress-less bout leakage).

You can probably find Koolance too. It is a good kit, but a little pricey...unless you find a good deal on eBay

No brands in particular really - to be honest, I'm only building my first watercooled system at the moment - I've been researching watercooling for about 3-4 months now and have a fair idea of what i'm gonna be getting myself into (all theory and no practice though )
I like the service and helpful advice that Radiical have given me (bought 2 bottles of fluidXP off them in anticipation a wee while ago) and I've had a look at overclockers.com.au's review of their CWX waterblock - seems like a good performer.

They're pretty good at swapping out parts on their kits too - pick a kit and ask them if you can swap bits and pieces for others.

AntiM hasn't recommended them though... and he'd know - he's the penguin when it comes to watercooling!

i agree with "AnTiM" about SilverProp.i use their cpu and 2x gpu waterblocks and custom built the rest of my kit.i use a heatercore out of a toyota which holds 2 x120mm fans and a single fan blackice rad.to push water through all of this i bought the new D5 pump from dangerden and use Clearflex 60 1/2i i/d tubing also from dangerden. And i have no problems with this setup
