| Would the Innovatek Cool-Matic work in SLi Configuration on a DFI Lanparty Expert Mobo? My concern is whether or not the fittings would bump up against each other or not. I could also go with the Koolance VID-NV2-L06 because it uses the same 1/4" ID fittings, but I'd prefer to go with the Innovateks. I will also be using a CPU block if that effects your suggestions. Thanks for any help you can offer!! | ||

| Well, the Koolance states...
and with the barbs coming out the top the way they do would definately work. The Innovatek *might*, but I would be worried that the barbs would hit the block on the other card in SLI.

| Thanks TONS for the reply Nrvous. The barbs on the Innovatek are precisely my worry and like you stated, I also read that the Koolance are SLi "approved". My quandry is simply the fact that I want to try to have an all Innovatek WC system (Fass-O-Matic, Dual Radi, Konvekt, etc.) and the Koolance would impede that. I guess it's a situation where I may just have to put aside my original notion that I could have all Innovatek and just go with the Koolance. If there's any input that can be offered to encourage me to get the Innovatek, I'd love to hear it, otherwise I may be "forced" to settle for the Koolance. I just don't want to do that simply because I'm ignorant as to whether the Innovatek GPU blocks would work. If I could get just one testimony or confirmation that they would work, I'd feel a lot better about them. Thanks again Nrvous | ||

| You're welcome. If you have your heart set on the Innovatek then perhaps you should shoot off an e-mail to FrozenCPU or HighSpeedPC, both are big Innovatek resellers, and see if they know of anyone using the Innovatek blocks in SLI. Like I said, it looks really tight, but there just might be enough clearance. | ||

I agree with Necro on this one. I had the same block on my 6800 and they stayed nice and cool. ![]()

| Hopefully you've already thought about all this, but for the sake of anyone else reading this thread and contemplating buying some of those coolers, please be aware of what you're about to shell out some serious green for: Problems with full-card VGA water coolers: a.) Equivalent cost of sponsoring 15 Haitian children well into adulthood. b.) Flow killers c.) Little or no overclocking benefit over standard GPU blocks d.) Very limited compatibility (both mobo and video card) e.) Only useful as a paperweight after your next VGA upgrade because mounting holes, ram layouts , etc... change with every new series | ||
