Default new to this lark

im lookin at giving my self a 18th bday present to set a trend for my computing experiance
im trying to work out 334 pounds on a koolance system (pc3-720bk) with a asetek antartica, a koolance chipset cooler and a thermaltake 9800 series cooler with thermal take coolant thermometer

or do i go out and buy a new case butcher it to put in one of the new asetek extrem 6 fan triple radiator jobies

anyone got a better idea
as i said im new to this w/c ing lark

i live in nire so options are limmited

You really don't want to mix the asetek's copper blocks with the Koolance's aluminum radiator because of corrosion issues. And the Koolance system is not a great performer. I'd opt for custom case and a all copper kit with the same size fittings. The asetek kit is an excellent choice.

you see im a bit woried about butchering a case
like what if i fook it up
plus how to go about it
where in gods name can i put a 360 mm long radiator aray
just things like that
little help would be most appreciated
as i said this is my first enterence so the n00b factor is in

i just got a asetec KT12A-12VX/10mm will be here on wednesday
got it for 270 pounds (shea) rather than 340
have decided to mount outside of my case
is this a good idea?

Well I have no idea where "nire" is. But Koolance isn't the only company that makes complete systems. And you don't have to go with a 3 fan radiator.

I would say that if you skill level isn't up to modding a case for water cooling or you can't afford to replace equipment in case of a problem, you might want to stick to air cooling. But then again, the only way to learn is by doing.

edit: nevermind...lol

Outside the case is an excellent choice from a performance standpoint.

look at the water cooling guides and the case gallery section here at Pimprigs.You should get loads of ideas of what you are thinking on doing...Jo

ta guys but i think i got it sussed
pump-rad-cpu-gpu-chipset-res-pump
rad is going to be mounted outside ontop of the case
