| I cant really decide if I should get watercooling. Im just wondering: 1.) How much can I expect to overclock my processor on water? 2.) Is it hard to maintain? 3.)I want to start going to LAN's so would I be able take my computer to LAN's if it's watercooled? Last edited by The Amish Kid; 30-December-05 at 11:07 PM.. | ||

| Hiya Anish Kid! Just a few things you should consider: What do you want to get out of water cooling your system? Quiet system or cool overclocked machine? If you're choosing the overclocking route, it'd be hard to say how much further you could OC it with water, but I can assure you with some certainty that you'll see a noticable difference. It's not very hard to maintain water cooling. Taking some simple precautions while setting your system up can save you some headache. You can purchase plenty of of pre-blended cooling fluids Wsay the Egg or FrozenCPU that will prevent corrosion, algae build-up, etc. Moving your system with water in it does pose a certain degree of risk, but again, if you put it all together properly, you shouldn't need to worry. Make sure all your connections are nice a tight and leak free. When you actually move your PC, stuff cloth or paper towels around your hoses to catch any water if it happens to leak. There are also companies that manufacture dielectric cooling fluid, i.e. non-conductive fluid that won't short out your system in case of a leak. Hope that helps, other members may answer your questions a little better. | ||

| I have a 3700+ skt 939. Its stock speed is 2.2ghz but I have overclocked it up to 2.6 on air but was worried about tempretures so I didnt leave it. It would be nice to be able to have that extra speed and not have to worry about my temps. EDIT: I have heard that is is harder to install water cooling in smaller cases, do you think there would be enough room in my thermaltake tsunami? If I just mounted the radiator on the outside I would be fine right? Last edited by The Amish Kid; 30-December-05 at 11:07 PM.. | ||

| I was thinking of either getting danger dens power kit and then adding a vga block later http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produc...3&cat=2&page=1 or getting Swiftechs H20-220 kit and then adding a vga block http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-wat-76.html?id=s4fr3Z3V or maybe this kit http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-wat-62.html Last edited by The Amish Kid; 30-December-05 at 11:07 PM.. | ||

| One of the Fluids Job is talking about, is called "FluidXP". I've read nothing but good stuff about it. The only time it would be a pain to carry the watercooling, is if you had the Radiator, Res, and Pump outside the case, if it's inside, and as Job agian said, SECURE, fittings tightened, cloth around the piping, you should be good. Although there is always the risk of something happening. Remember, overclocking CAN and WILL shorten the lifespan of the component your overclocking. Also, I would look into piecing your watercooling system together, read reviews and such about components and pick the best. I would look into getting a Dual 120MM Radiator if possible. Like the Danger Den Xtreme Black Ice II (I believe that's what it's called) | ||

| Well I have been looking through the gallery and I have concluded that Im probably going to invest in watercooling once I buy a 2gb memory kit and a x-fi sound card. Hopefully I will have the money by febuary. I was kinda wondering though do you think there would be enough room to mount a dual 120mm radiator internally at the top of a tsunami? If I did this though I would have to take out the usb ports that are at the top and stuff and that might be kinda hard. Well, what radiator, pump and blocks and anything else I need would you suggest? I would like to have 1/2 " tubing but If you dont think I will be able to fit it in my case then I guess 3/8" would be fine. Last edited by The Amish Kid; 30-December-05 at 10:58 PM.. | ||
