Default What to do with Mach2GT

I am in posession of a prometeia Mach2GT. The only problem is, I was a bit unlucky and my chip (an X2 4400+) does not respond too well to overclocking - i can only get stable at 2.8ghz.

So I was wondering if there is anyway I can incorporate a chilled water setup, using the prometeia as the chilling unit. However, this is where Im stuck. I cannot figure out how to build this so I do not simply freeze whatever water comes in contact with the coldhead, be it the radiator or a rez.

I just figure I already have the unit, why not use its power to cool the video card and some peripherals while Im at it?

So any engineering suggestions or tips would be appreciated. I think Im handy enough with tools to get the job done

Water would have no advantage over the prometia... just use the prometia and run it at 2.8ghz.

What voltage have you tried running it at btw? What are the temps?

I know water wont offer an advantage over a phase changer, however I think that the prometeia right now is not offering any advantage over water!

even running extremely at 1.5v, the proc will not go over 2.8ghz. it just wont budge. it stays below 0C even on Prime95, but simply will not OC more. wouldnt cold water give me the same affect as this? and on that note, why not use the cooling power to help cool the other peripherals?

A suggestion if you don't want to use the Mach2GT as it was designed is to give it to me , but really a suggestion might be to soldier a really large heatsink onto the evap head and have this in an inline res so that the water is constantly running over it, hopefully not allowing it to freeze. You'll need a large pump(just incase this partially freezes the inline res) as well and insulate your water lines for condensation.

Another option could be having a res made out of copper or aluminum with fin on the inside and soldier the evap head to the res and insulate the res, although I think my first suggestion is better and easier.

Anyways if you can't think of anything just pm me and I'll send you my home address

If you want to get rid of the Prometia, we could probably work a deal.
