Default Watercooling a Lanparty SLI

I'm working on a new project and just wanted to see what you guys think of a problem I ran into on my last rig. I built my last system using a socket 754 lanparty board. I had a really hard time installing a dd chipset block. It's too close to the videocard.

So now, on my new rig I want to use another lanparty board. One of the sli boards. From looking at pics it looks like I might run into the same problem x2 with 2 videocards. I probably plan on getting 2 6600gt's. Now the lanparty xpert does look like it has a little more space. What do you guys suggest?

edit- found this- http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1027675313 Looks like this guy wc without cooling his chipset. Seems to work for'em. hmm.

I would suggest the Expert board which allows more room.

these LanParty boards are REALLY hard to get a chipset wattercooler into with SLI installed...especially with the newer longer cards. If you find a nice cooler you might need to stick with 3/8" instead of 1/2" tubing just to give yourself more room. Be careful as well, I tried some fancy thick 1/2" tubing in the tight space on my LanParty 939 chipset and it torqued so much it cracked the Plexi top on my cooler.

woohoO! didn't think i get a reply tonight. Well I got a 1/2" dangerden chipset block.
It's the screws that get in the way. Those long ones.

Looking closely at the expert I guess that's the only way I'll get away with it. But it's still cutting it close.

It cuts close all almost all the boards. Except the asus sli.
If your going to water cool you really have to go on how much space and the way the fan is mounted.

I really like the dfi lanparty but now i'm kinda liking the asus too. Hmmm...

Spacing with the chipset kinda looks the same as the lanparty tho.

Little update on info i've found incase anyone ever needs it. Sorry for the double post.

If I do decide to go with the ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe dangerden has a chipset block for the chipset on the asus that'll fit it. I'm still debating between the asus and the Lanparty Expert.

I think I want this same exact setup. The asus mb with the 2 asus 6600gt's. Looks nice.

I was looking at aqua computer and they have a chip set block that s pretty big but goes under the top video card to where you can plug in the tubing buy I think the tubing is different then DD.

i thought that 1 6800gt is faster than 2x 6600gt when oc'ed.

I dont have the benchmarks to prove it but my first card was a Gigabyte 6800GT, which broke after some bad leaks in the w/cing department; i then picked up 2 BFG 6600 GTs OC edition which would smack around my previous card. I also saved room by going to 2 6600 GTs due to no PCIe power connectors and the cards are not that long.

I'd go with this.

The 8-phase power and heatpipe cooling are sweet and the full bandwidth SLI is icing on the cake.

they should of made the board a little bigger to put like one more pci card on the bottom so you can have room for a sound card or somthing.

Hmm, point. You could however use a low-profile block like Swiftech's MCW55 with MC14 ramsinks.
Throw in a blower to make the ram is well ventillated (example)

You could then plant a Sound card in the Pci slot above the black Pcie 16x slot.

I looked at that board earlier. It's just too pricey.
This one the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium only $163. I thought about using this board and not using a chipset waterblock since it has the pipe thing. Dangerden also has a low-profile block and I rather use them over swiftech. I didn't like a wc kit I had from swiftech.
