| Apex Techie Lite | Right now i have a BigWater setup from thermaltake that I am looking to completely remove and replace with a new setup. I guess my main problem is that I have no 120mm fans in my system ( I have a coolermaster praetorian case). I love this case, except it only has 80mm fan support, and it would be a major (think project log ) job to mod. Though, at some point i would be willing to mod it when i had the time/funds. For now here is what ive decided on for cooling parts. Pump - MCP350 from swiftech Its small and has good power and is 12v powered. CPU block - Apogee from swiftech from the reviews it seems liek a nice cpu block for a reasonable price Resevior - Homemade Tubing - something flexible and doesnt kink GPU block - undecided Radiator - This where my problem occurs I have a single fan in rear which would accept a blackice micro 80mm rad but i am unsure if it would be enough to run both a cpu and gpu in hte same line. Anyone have any thoughts for a good rad that would work in my case ( i have their first praetorian case) | |

| Looks like you can get a 120mm rad on the back or even the front with a little dremel work, don't think about the 80mm rad since it has trouble cooling a cpu alone. Also I would wait on the Apogee as there hasn't been any testing to compare with, and by the looks of design I would get a TDX or Storm block since I have a good feeling that both of them will beat the Apogee fine since that block was developed off of older style technology (non Impingment). Edit: Since you seem to be on a budget get Clearflex tubing, it works great. | ||

| Apex Techie Lite | thanks for the input. I should take a pic of my current setup. I acutally bent some aluminum into a bracket taht the rad hangs off of right now.. so theres an air gap between the back 80mm and the rad. and my specs: P4 550 3.4GHz @ 3.78 Ballistix PC2-5300 @ 4-4-4-12 - 296MHz ASUS P5AD2 Premium mobo (I could really almost use a NB cooler block for it since its too hot to touch) X800 XT 256MB PCI-E from MSI Audigy 2 ZS Coolermaster 450W PSU | |
