| Can anyone give me some tips, ideas, suggestions for transporting a watercooled PC? I'm going to my first LAN as a watercooled pimp, but I'll only be there for 6 or 7 hours, so draining and refilling is probably out of the question due to inconvenience. | ||

| The times I have moved the G3 to a lanparty (which has many hoses) I just made sure that everthing was in place really good and I tucked hand towels all around under the hoses and blocks. Depending on the connections you use you may get some leaks here and there from the car vibration. Each time I have drove my case elsewhere there were always a few damp spots on the towels from the move. =] But each time it fired right up leak free for some gaming. | ||

i lay my whole case on the right side ( or back of mobo side if your case is reverse) that way there is less stress on the blocks tweeking the mobo. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| bring extra distilled water. whether in a container or in the jug you never know and you dont wanna be in the lan with no coolant. one thing you can do is store the computer motherboard up. then use the towels. this ensures that if there is a leak gravity works in your favor and it is alot less likely to get on your mobo or anything else and will fall on the case door/window if the towels dont get it. that also lets you know real quick of any issues as the door being dry generally means a quick fitting check, if the door is wet then you may need to refill a bit of fliud and check your connections. hope it goes well. after your done maybe look into brass plumbing threaded connectors. while they are nice as disconnects, a bit of threading tape or an oring on the female side and they dont leak. most starter water coolnig kits use them, and they are 99% idiot proof. which makes moving the comp alot safer. enjoy fragging ppl you will atleast be able to enjoy the game without a nasty fan buzz ![]() NOT saying your an idiot btw, just incase that was taken the wrong way. | ||

| If it's not leaking while sitting there on your desk, it's not going to leak during it's short ride to the lan party. Just make sure you secure it in your vehicle so it doesn't move around. The last thing you need is to get in an accident and have a 100lb. chunk of hardware hitting you in the head. I have moved my case around quite a bit and even driven to my workshop a few times recently for the mods I've been putting in it, and have never had a problem with a leaking hose or fitting with my bigwater system. Just use your head and take the necessary precautions to prevent any mishaps when dealing with water and your precious hardware. | ||

| Thanks for the tips guys. Here's what I'll do: 1. Check all my connections (quick connects). 2. Place paper towels around connections and in strategic places. 3. Towel on passanger seat, case on that, with seatbelt. 4. Drive like a grandma. 5. Check connections before booting up. 6. Keep UV lights on to see any leaks. | ||
