Default P4 2.8GHz @ 4.0GHz with liquid nitrogen!

Now this is what I'd call extreme cooling. Most of this link is in German, but it does have an English summary. It is the pictures that are the coolest part LOL. Talkin about dangerous.....

Check it out.

Talk about one hell of a mod. But hey, even though it seems like overkill now, 10 years down the road, it might not be as far fetched as it seems today... Wouldn't want to spill have any though... Put a stick on your motherboard and have a MOBO-Cycle. TM .

Liquid can be purchased at welding supply shops I believe. I'm not sure on the price and the quality, however.

I got 3.0Ghz on an AMD K6 400 one night when I told my wife I was working late but ended up spending the night at the bar with my budz. It was real cold in the house that night. I was able to sustain those speeds for almost a week.

oh wow! someone did it before us!
check the phone book for air products inc. they should be able to hook you up with a tank of the N2. probably a 20lb tank. you pay a deposit for the tank and for how much nitrogen you fill up on. dont try the paintball stores cuz when they say nitrogen they just mean high pressure air.

You think thats wild? check out these guys. The used liquid nitrogen and submerged the mobo in Flurinert(a non reative liqued). Course they paid 1000$ just for the fluerinert.

I know somwhere perhaps in the funny image gallery I saw a case that looked like it used an actual compressor as a cooling pump. Now might sound stupid (like anything I say doesn't) but I would swear I saw a case that actually used a freon base for cooling the CPU etc. though I can't recall where. If it wasnt a freon base it HAD to be real close because it used the largest shielded copper tube I have ever seen plugging down on the CPU LOL. But as I recall the case with the colling system was @ 600.00.

No way I could even imagine such a thing with condensation on the lines from the fluid circulation etc. one minute your gear is ice cold and the next a blazing smoke bomb.
