I've tested equipment with much less flow rate that worked well enough, so yes. My Innovatek system used a 79 gph pump and worked very well. Unless the head rating is extremely low, it would work fine if paired with a low restriction block. Optimal in most systems is generally somewhere between 150 and 300 gph.

| Apex Techie Wannabe | im not posting with my pc, im sorry I will post the model and make soon. So 66gph is good enough? I would use it with my: AMD athlon 64 2800+ (would like overclocked to 2.1) its 754 pin ATi Radeon 9800 Flashed to Ati Radeon 9800 Pro (390 clock 330 mem/128bit) This is what I have everthing clocked to right now and its stable, I only have the pump, what products do you recomend I buy to go with the pump? Thanks for your help guys, Last edited by GSG-9; 10-March-05 at 11:02 PM.. | |

| Make and model would help. What size inlet and outlet does it have? Good matches for a low flow system are blocks like the Swiftech 6000 or 6002 and Innovatek Rev. 4. I'd probably favor the Swiftech because it uses the more common 3/8" and 1/2" tubing. Makes it easier to upgrade down the line. A good match for a radiator would be a heater core. Heater core's have very little back pressure compared to most radiators made specifically for water cooling. They also work extremely well and cost less. I can say from experience, water cooling will have very little effect on how well you can OC a video card. You might get another 10 Mhz core with water, nothing on memory. How far you can clock your cpu would depend much on your board and memory. 2100 is probably doable. I would urge you to learn as much about water cooling as possible before you take the plunge. It's not needed for a good OC, you can do that with a good Thermalright heatsink like the XP-120 or XP-90 among others. | ||

| Apex Techie Wannabe | Still not at home yet (sorry!) I already have a pump so I think I want to go for it, I read the reviews for a XP-120, I may just buy one o those and a new X-connect power supply instead, (I did not buy new heatsinks and tubing yet.) Off subject: Where can I find out about Thermal Electric Cooling if I like it where can I buy it? I did not find any Info on it it most sites; Thanks, Levi Tomes | |

| Apex Tech Fanatic | i know for a fact you can do 210 mhz atleast! i run a AMD 64 2800mhz that is currently OCed to 2.5mhz. if i played with my memory timings, i think i could push it higher. right now im just raisign the HTT ( FBS). my system is water cooled, but even with air im sur eoyu could eaisly reach 2100 | |

Look for "thermoelectric cooling" instead. In short, it's the exchange of thermal energy by expenditure of electrical energy. If you're familiar with Stirling engines, you're halfway there already. I don't know of any websites that I'd personally feel comfortable recommending as a means to learn about thermoelectric cooling devices, however I'm certain that if you run the search, you'll find plenty of information. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that in order to move the heat, additional heat will be generated so you will need to use a heatsink or other cooling solution that can handle a significantly higher thermal load than if you were to simply cool by only air or water.
