Default FillPort Location on Loop

Hey Folks,

I have a question, and was hoping you fellow Pimps and Pimpettes can help out.

I am looking to use a Fill Port from DD on my loop and get rid of my BayRes. Here is the waterflow path i'm going to use: Pump > Rad > Cpu > NB > GPU

I know that people typically put the fill port to a T barb on the Pump "In" Barb. Which makes perfect sense.

Here is what I would like to know.

Can I put the "T" barb between the Radiator and CPU Block?

Here is the reason. I want to mount the Fill Port to the Top of my case, and that is also the location of my radiator. To run an extra hose to the bottom of the case to the pump require additional tubing, which isn't a big deal. The main issue I have is clutter.

So is it a "No No" to put a t-barb at after the radiator? Any undesirable side effects?

Please let me know. Thanks.

people just put it before the pump because it collects the most bubbles before it hits the pump which can cause mechanical wear on the pump. should be fine to hook it up anywhere. i actually kept my bay res and hooked it to that and its working ok except for a problem with the water pressure but i'll figure that out on my own or make a thread about it . ..

Enko is correct. Also it's good to put it right before the pump because it makes it really easy to fill the system since the water will be getting into the system and straight to the pump.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will try to put the Fill port after the rad. It will just make my plumbing a little more asethically (sp) appealing.

As for filling up the system, since the port is at the top of the loop, I hope it will also be easy.

Ok folks.. if anyone else want to chime in, it will greatl be appreciated.
