Kingwin AWC-1 Arctic Liquid Cooler System

Im looking for a cheap WC kit for my girlfriends pc. Currently her hsf is a Vantec Aeroflow and that sucker runs @ 38db! I thought it would be cool to throw in a wc kit but I dont need an over-the-top setup. CPU is a 2600+ non-mobile and I have it oc'd at 2300mhz. Load temps reach 48'c.

1. Do you think this kit will lower the temps to around 40'c?

2. Should I look for a better HSF instead of a wc kit?

Unless your gonna spend approx. $200 US you'd be better off buying a good air setup. I really don't think that setup will cool better than a good Thermalright or Swiftech HSF. Depending on the fan you can pick a good air setup for about that price. Check out http://www.Plycon.com

Personally I dont like those kits if your gonna w/c go with a good quality kit like dangerden. I recommend you save some money and get a nice hsf.

Unless she knows what shes doing, its usually not a good idea to WC someone elses rig. If you want quiet, get her a nice Zalman cooler.

I'd go for a better HSF, the Zalman CPNS7000 is quiet, and gives great temps.

My Mobile 2500+ was under 50c at 2.5ghz and 1.825v, and around 42-44c with 1.75v and 2.4ghz

I'd strongly suggest that you stick with air cooling at this point.

I agree with those about the Air cooling, get either Zalman 7000AlCU or if it can fit the 7700AlCu
