Question 12v Pump Comparason?

I currently own the DD4 12v pump. I was wondering if the new DDC-12 pump would be worth checking out. My loop is all 1/2", so I would be using an adapter with the DDC-12.

The main reason I'm asking is because I could really cleanup the inside of my case with the smaller DDC-12, due to the inlet and outlet being on the same side of the pump. I don't want to sacrifice (too much) cooling power, so if it runs considerably worse, then I'll pass on it.

So far, the only review I've seen is on Madshrimps.

And as always, thanks.

Not sure about the specs of the pump you have now but I did some research and found out that that pump is the same as the Swiftech, and Corsairs that just came out.

Pump Specs:
Nominal voltage 12 V DC
Operating voltage range 9 to 13.2 VDC
Nominal power (@ 12 V) 8.3 W
Nominal current (@ 12 V) 0.69 amps
Nominal head (@ 12 V) 13.05 ft (4 m)
Nominal discharge (@ 12 V) ~ 92.4 GPH (350 LPH)
Connection size 3/8" barbs (10mm)
Maximum pressure 22 PSI (1.5 BAR)
Temperature range Up to 140°F (60°C)
Weight 7.3 oz (207 gr.)
Noise 26 - 28 Decibals
Motor type Electronically commutated, brushless DC, spherical motor

I have this pump and its great. Although I am using a 3/8 setup.

Can you tell me what your spec's are, and what sort of temp's you are getting?

I'm also interested in the noise level.

Have any pics?

Nice.

My temps are a bit higher than yours... my spec's are in the sig file, and my temps are in the high 30's at idle to high 40's under full load.

Im thinking of loosing my dual 5 1/4 bay res and replacing it with a T-Line
