Default Water dissaster!

Well being the water noob that i am i bought a starter kit, a wc-202 by evercool. It looked like a good beginners kit, so i bought it. I hooked up all the hoses and read the instructions and it told me to fill the pump and let a ll the air out while letting some leak out. Well i did so and what happens? Water everywhere, i cant get all the air out, and all my components are soaked. How am i supposed to fill the tubes while running the pump and get all air bubbles out of the pump without air getting in the pump or in a tube or something Water is jsut not for me

Get all your hardware out of the computer wipe it down. Let it dry for a while. Leak your system down. Then undo all the connectors and redo your entired system. Do you have a resovior or a fill and bleed system. Once its back together jump start the psu to get the pump working and leak test it for a day. check all your connections for leaks. If there are leaks fix them no matter how small. After the testing is done put ur components back if make sure they ae dry. To get all the air out shake your case around make sure that everything is secure before you do this. I would recomend shaking it and gettin al lthe air out before you put everything in. Letting it run for a day should get most ofthe air out.

All the above is exactly why I choose not to water cool. Alot of initial time setting it up and leak testing and quite a bit of time to maintain the setup. Some things are better left alone, I will stick to air cooling......

yes im in agreement with aaron air is much safer! sure it takes a few amps from the PSU, but thats just a little spliff in the PSU load!

Yea basically after its all set up and done its great. Last night i was at 11c for my case temp and 28 c for my cpu. It is a pain but if u leak test it right without any hardware its really not that bad. Just change the fluid every couple months.

You didnt fill it while it was inside the case did you? I would recommend to a h2o newb that you fill it outside the system. If your pump is submersible then you can dunk the entire system in a bucket full of distilled water and work it all around until the air bubbles are out. Then simply cap it, ull it out and let it air dry and run over night.

Case temp of 11C? That's around 52F. I find it hard to believe that your case temp, which is dependent upon ambient temp, is at 52F unless you are feeding it outside winter air.

I've done that before and all I can say is it is nice while it lasts. Then you have to go back to traditional cooling solutions. Hell, it don't really get cold enough during winter here in Kansas anymore to give you any benefit. Been in the 60's the last couple of days which used to be unheard of in Feb.
