![]() ![]() ![]() | I read somewhere that a peltier needs 150-300 pounds of clamping force to work to it's full potential. How could I accomplish this force while leaving enough surface area on both sides for my cpu and waterblock. If I use hex bolt/nuts near the edges, will the copper deform? I was thinking of lapping a slight convex shape into the sides of the cold and hot plates that touch the peltier so that when the copper deforms, it would make full contact instead of cupping in the center. After it's clamped, I could lap the outside surfaces flat. So the stacking order is AthlonXP2500, insulating foam around perimeter, cold plate(insulated), Peltier, Hot plate, MCW6002 Waterblock. |
