| Water Wetter=Bad News After using Water Wetter for a while coupled with some anti-plant growth liquid, various things happened.
One being the tubes turning color, as can be seen in the acrylic res leak test after sealing it back up. I did not put too much in there, at least compared to the recommended level.
Secondly, and most importantly, the water wetter warped the acrylic out of control. There were also many spider cracks and just deformations that damaged the whole structural integrity of the cube I spent a considerable amount of time making.
Here is my shameless moral for watercooling. Do NOT use Redline Water Wetter in conjunction with plastics. Tygon may be immune to it, although Clearflex is not. Acrylic weakens to the point of where it looks like it has been heated and bent, along with forming cracks all over the place.
If anyone would like to add their comments on Water Wetter, feel free to do so.
The pictures show everything I am talking about very clearly. The top is starting to go mushroom shaped on me, and the front was severely damaged by a monstrous crack. |
