Default Thermaltake waterblock? Worth the $?

Acrylic Case project-

I recently asked opinions on a rad. Decided to go with a Pro-120 from dtek. Now moving on with my next query. The waterblock! I think I researched every single one made. To be honest.. I know theirs nice blocks out there in the same price range, But this is the one I like. It sells for $50 + ship. I like the LED blue. It will accent nice the acrylic case. I read reviews on the Bigwater thermaltake kit this block comes in. They say it performs well, well the kit does so i'm assuming the block handles ok. Now with a rad like the one i'm planning to use, I already have a danger den maze 4 for my 9800 pro and a Hydor L20 pump and I ordered a dual bay res from frozen. I'm concerned that i'm trying to put a hyandai interior in a bmw. Should I just forget about the blue glow and go with a nice block or will I get away with it ok? Thanks guys. Here's the link to the block- http://www.coolbidnow.com/th208licocow.html.

There are much better water blocks available in the same price range. Resist the temptation of the bling....many times it is a marketing ploy to make up for subpar performance. Besides, LED's are so cheap and it isn't too hard to do it yourself.

Also, remember to get the right sized fittings on all your components or you'll be SOL. I only say that because from the picture those look like 1/4" quick-connects and I know the Pro-Core only comes with 1/2 and 3/8" barbs.

Werd. "Chrome won't bring you home" or in this case "LEDs won't bring you low temps".

As the wiseguys above me said, there are far better blocks for the money

Dangerden TDX or RBX (TDX is a 2 nozzle RBX)
Swiftech 6002 or 6000 (6002 is 1/2" barbs 6000 is 3/8")
D-tek Whitewater
Alphacool waterblocks
Polarflo TT series
The Cuplex series

finally when people review the Bigwater kit they arn't expecting much, I'd like to see a review that said it was anywhere near as good as one of the blocks above with a heatercore and a good pump

www.pcapex.com
www.procooling.com
www.overclockers.com

3 awesome sites that review products instead of just writing long ads for them
