Default Opinions on a Radiator SenFu Radiator II

I'm shopping around for a radiator. I'm working on a xoxide acrylic case. It only has 80mm fan holes so I guess I need a 80mm radiator. I found this http://www.plycon.com/water/senfurad.htm. I get mixed reactions when I research on it. Is it a good radiator or not? I'm looking for something under $40 and efficient. I'm thinking I can maybe change the fans on it. I have a few led fans lying around. I don't know, help me! My other pick was the http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-rad-31.html

I think he means drilling holes in your case so you can attach 120mm fans.

Under $40 is a tough deal, and that rad may actually be your best option, or you can do what most of us have done at one time or another, and get a little creative. You can save some serious money if you go to a local junkyard or autoparts store and pick up a heater core for a few bucks....easily the best bang-for-the-buck and a favorite of the poorman's rig since the beginning. If you don't want to drill holes in your case you can always use carriage bolts or some other solution you can think up. The easiest and probably most effective way would be to have the rad external. That way you won't have to limit yourself to any size fan (or rad) or worry about having to mount it on your case somewhere.

I think I might go with the d-tek pro over at http://www.dtekcustoms.com/index.asp...PROD&ProdID=19 or the MHQ120-S-Combo http://www.moddershq.com/product.asp?idval=5.

After hours of reading and researching (thanks again anonymous) I learned about heatercores so i'll check out my local autoparts stores. Seems like it would be alot of work tho to get a shroud built for a heatercore so I might just buy one of the made-4-pc ones. I found those 2. If you guys have any other suggestions or sites with nice rads I would gladly appreciate it.

Buying a heater core at the auto store and then ordering a shroud online will cost almost as much as just ordering the rad on line.

If you can make it fit, I would just get the DTEK Pro 120 you linked above.

I'll also recommend buying a premodded heater core, unless you would like to do it yourself. They look better, have some good barbs, and it's just a package deal.

With the heater core used in my system, it was bought for $22 along with some ducting tape and sheet metal from Home Depot for $10. Definitely the fun way, although it doesn't look as good and the tubing has to be stretched a wee bit to go on the 5/8" tubes. Everything is external, so it works well.

I'm just gonna go with the DTEK. I'm going to bring 2 pieces of the acrylic case (it comes in pieces) to a local glass shop to see if they can turn a 80mm hole to a 120mm.
