I have not seen any pre-made water cooled power supplies.

Come to think of it, I have not seen any pre-made PSU coolers.

All the water cooled PSU units I have seen were totally DIY custom built jobs.

There is an outfit in Germany that makes one, of course it's on their power standard.

Aqua-Computer has their product called the Aqua-Power PSU

And I think I have recently seen something else but don't have it marked.

One point for you though, remember that unless you use some kind of active / refrigerated cooling element in your water cooling system, your going to still have a fan or two, so going all out on a water cooled PSU may not really get you much. It really all depends on just how far you want to take it. And how much portability your willing to sacrifice.

yea, i already figured that i would need a few fans, but i find that PSU are fairly noisy, it either this or buy one of the super quiet ones, and since im going water cooled, i though id go all the way.

Not sure about the link, but I just used their site to post this stuff. Try the main page, then from the top, choose Shop. Then on the left side chosse Neitzel, or however they spell it.

A suggestion would be to buy an Antec 400watt TruePower.

Good clean power and real quiet, be sure it's the newer model which even looks decent, though not as flashy as the Vantec Stealths.

Keep the water cooling system seperate from the rest, then it's not integral to power, etc. and can be removed if desired.

The Vantec does have one very nice feature in that it has an integrated power recepticle that a pump can be plugged into, but for the extra savings and the quieter performance of the Antec PSU, you can also buy a power senseing switch from Swiftech or HighspeedPC to control the pump.

possible idea:
make an aluminum rail that would replace the heatsinks on the regulators like angle aluminum and put the water blocks on the angle aluminum. use your imagination.

im not sure cause i have no expeiriance with PSU, but is there any electricla charge in there i have to be worried about, like if i used copper tubing and bent it back and forth so it covered the insides, would i have to worry about shorting out or worse, a shock?

thats pretty interesting, it pretty much cleared all my fears of shock, i think im gonna get some tubing used like in sinks, it metal and fairly flexible, and ill just wrap it around the PSU and see what happens, i may also use some shims sliced up to keep the copper from direct contact with the PSU, dont want to blow it up.

Dude, what are you talking about?

I mean, did you mean what you said, just run some flexible metal hose around inside the PSU for cooling?

That will not work, and YES, there is a shock hazard. In fact, there is a shock hazard even when the PSU is off. There are elements that retain power and if you reach in there and touch them before they disapate the charge, WHAMMO, your going to get bit If metal components touch them, your looking at a melt down.

Ok, you can do what that guy at the ZeroFanZone did. That will work, But you need to know what your doing here.

Be carefull guy, don't want to see our Hoes hurt, or out for damaged gear.

before you do go poking around in there discharge all of the capacitors ( they look like little coke cans) by shorting the posts on them with a screwdriver or a piece of heavy gauge wire. and yes do be careful there are high voltages in there

im really not good at electricity, so, i dont know what im gonna do, il probly just buy a silent fan PSU

Here is the Antec 430W Power Supply TRUE430 and Newegg has it for $78.

This PSU produces good clean power, the Antec name is very respected, and it's a quiet unit. Actually it's noticable quieter then the Vantec Stealth series PSUs and a good $45 or more cheaper.

This will be my next PSU as my old venerable Antec 303 is a little bit loud for my tastes. But as for power, it ran my rig plus my 80watt peltier water chiller and the Delta 80mm that was cooling it along with all the normal components that you would find in a computer.

You might find people saying good things about other PSUs like Enermax and Vantec, but you will probably not find anyone complaining about an Antec.

I'm running a True 430 from Antec in my main rig right now. Very happy with it. Got it modded with a plexi exterior and red LED's. Very cool.

Nope, still down south. But I had my rig shipped, ordered a new Samsung 152B LCD delivered here, swaped the water for air do to the shipping action, and the Hotel has DSL.

Shipping the rig was almost a disaster, my big arsed Alpha was hanging by one bolt, all the others were ratteling around in the bottom of the case when it arrived. I was really sweating it. Had to disassemble and re-assemble the rig to get it up.

After that, I decided to get a "Clip-on" and ordered a SLK800 which is working out nicely
