well guys i decided it was about time i took the plunge and got into water cooling i have my hydor l30 and tubing im just waiting on my danger den block.

i decided that i'd make my plunge intresting and cheaper by trying out evaporative tower cooling aka 'bong cooling'

i will give a quick description of what it is but you can fing out a lot on the procooling forums and on overclockers.com

basically evaporative cooling works by taking the heat away from the water by evaporating some of it as this takes alot of energy. this is done basically by having a shower of water with an updraught of air. the advantage of this system over a radiator is that the water can drop below ambient air temps. the disadvantages are that you continue to lose water through evaporation so regular filling is required. also its hard to make a pvc pipe look pretty (tho there are other methods that use the same priciple that can be made to look ok).

i have planned my rough design and will do a little doodle and upload it later for everyones oppinion before my water block arrives and i take the dremel to the piping etc
