Zalman Reserator

What do you guys think of this? I searched but didn't find it mentioned anywhere...

Looks cool but looks also like a MAJOR hassle if you ever need to move your pc >twice a year

or is that wrong?

It blows, you would be better off getting thier ZALMAN CNPS7000A-CU ULTRA QUIET CPU COOLER and saving a lot of cash...

The number one reason to get something like this is because you want a passive cooler for your fanless setup. I am sure it works sufficient for stock clocked cpu's. But once you turn up the juice I am sure it will start to sweat. So ask yourself, how much does quiet matter to you. If you say alot and you are willing to give up overclocking, then cancel your pimprig membership (j/k don't get all sensitive, I don't want to have to smack you

) and hit the buy button.

I'm not buying ANYTHING just yet. I still need to do a lot of reading/learning here and at other random places. However this forum is good as people are not prejudiced for no apparent reason and it contains people with some real knowledge too.
Just wanted to see what people thought of it. Maybe it should be a cooling tower/res/radiator instead.

Its not worth the materials its made out of. You can build a kick ass silent setup. You wont have the O/C headroom that a "loud" setup would have but there are still some good silent setups out there. Head over to the Den and check out there selection.

that would suck for lanparies... well it sucks all around so... yeah. Zalman is a funny company... really, REALLY odd designs, but only a few of them are great. Im currently running a cpns7000cu.... best heatsink ever.

psycho: what is that in your sig.... tell me its a prototype, not a rod. (eitherway its cool.

ahhh another reserator thread - ignore these posts m8 - my rig modding design includes a reserator as the main feature - to be onest i think they rule. Over clocked P4's at 3.6 GHz run at just under 24C load on these. With 2 silent 120mm fans and the psu fans in the case, u wont be complaining.

I really like the fact that they take chances like they do. Says alot about the character of the people who run the company. As for the siggy, it is a CG of of Kris Horton's Camaro concept that is not going to be made. He does not work for Chevy he is just a student but I think this is a great concept. He has actually changed it a bit and I don't really like the changes he made to the front.

I like to think of zallman as the "Sabb" of the PC world..Kind of an odd Duck that sometimes gets it right

yeh thats a good way of putting it - but someone has to hold their breath and cross fingers for a design - then other company quickly follow - like abits MAX series
