non conDUCKtive fluid/project orb - update please!

I remember being HIGHLY curious about an article by DuckWarrior about some non conductive fluid. I was able to find a link from the June 2003 article.

Since readind the article, I've reguarly checked out this site, hoping to find an update on "Project ORB". Since I've not seen anything lately, so i figured I would join the forums and ask if anyone had any idea on what is going on.

Bringing this up is not intended to bring up all the crap that DuckWarrior had to take in this thread (locked since end of june)

I am just extermely curious how this project will play out, and was hoping someone would know SOMETHING about duck's progress. Possibly even get a reply from DuckWarrior himself.

The CADD work has been accomplished and the prototype is in the beginning phases
My goal is to have the ORB finished in 2 months

all i can say is: if it takes that long to make, let alone plan, its bound to be pimpin. let me know if you need leds!

I'm so relieved to hear that it is at least still in progress. The whole idea facinates me. I've seen a couple of fishtank mods, but I haven't ever seen a well designed system.

Can't wait to see what you have to bring to the table!

I know what it's supposed to look like. You guys will flip when you see it. It took me a good week to figure out how the hell it worked from the drawings I was sent.

In case you gentlemen didn't realize it, our esteemed DuckWarrior is an active duty weapons specialist in the Air Force. He has had a little more than the Orb project to occupy his time lately. Honestly, I've talked to the Duck and he has been pulling some seriously long hours for months. I'm sure that when the current situation settles a bit he'll have time to get back to the project.

testrips- You must not understand the theory of project relativity. The equation looks like this: T=[E]x[4] Where T=time it took to complete; E=estimated project time.

Looks like it should be done within the next few months

sorry folks, i'm not an active member of this community. I joined pimprig a bunch of months ago, just so I could check-in on this project. I'll continue to wait anxiously or the mighty orb

and to Duck, thanks for being part of our armed forces, I'm appreciative of your service!
