| I'm working on my new case and it's my first watercooling setup and I've made a front fan shroud (B) its 2.75 inches. I know that I needed a larger gap due to the dead spot in the fan but how far do I need to make shroud (A). I'm looking to make it as small as possible with out losing performance. Sorry about the crappy picture, I don't have a camera since it got stolen out of my car. | ||

| 2.75" is plenty. As for the second one, I'd make it at least an inch, and then go from there as much as you can fit. Also see this thread: http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread.php?t=16566 | ||

| Apex Techie Wannabe | 1 inch to 1.25 inches will be sufficient for reducing the "dead spot" any thing larger is not going to give you any noticeable performance increases. You may want to look at the http://www.coolingworks.com shrouds. Most people are happy with them. | |
