Default Radiators / Heatercores

I've been wondering; Since a heatercore is supposed to be better than a Black Ice Xtreme (and I'd assume Thermochill 120.1). How does it stack up against a BIX2 / Thermo 120.2? Also does anyone know where the 120.3 would fit in?

I know that the 2 fan rads will get me closer to room temp than a single heatercore but how much? 1*c, 2*c?

Oh, and please dont mention dual fan HC's, if I went dual fan I'd probably go either Black ice or Thermochill; my Heatercore is nice but anything new is going to be more compact....

Several reasons why no one answered....all of which you should have probably figured out by yourself.

1.) The impact of a larger radiator is also dependent upon the other components of your loop.

2.) No one here has the necessary equipment to properly measure and isolate the myriad of elements which makes a radiator work, not to mention compare them.

3.) Not many people buy 6 or more radiators and try them all out to see how they compare. The best you'll get is assumption and educated guesses...all of which you could do on your own with a little reading.

Your best bet is to check out these articles and draw your own conclusions:

As far as how the BIX2 stacks up against a single fan HC, the best I can give you is....it's better. That's about it wihtout making **** up. But I think the second article I linked you to makes mention of the relative performance of a BIX2 vs. a BIX. You'll have to use them to piece together any further conclusions.

Thanks |Anon|, I was posting on the off chance someone did have a heatercore and a BIX2...

Anyways thanks for the links; I'm thinking bout trying out the 120.2 or BIX2, if I do I'll let y'all know how it and my heatercore compare.

Your kind of comparing a V8 to a V6, if done right they will both perform well but in the end there is no replacement for displacement or in this case surface area.
