I am sick of regular air cooling. I want to get into some other type of cooling, whats the most inexpensive type of air cooling alternative?

a decent watercooling kit will set you back about $150, and a lot more if you screw it up.

It runs like about like this;

Active Air Cooling (Standard HSF) < $60
Passive Air Cooling (Heatpipes) < $65
TEC + HSF Cooling < $200
Water Cooling < $250
TEC + Water Cooling < $400
Phase Change < $1,000

Notice these prices are all listed as Less-then. What I mean is that you can get into these cooling solutions for at least this amount or less, but that many of the products available in the reatail market will run you about this much. Also be aware that you can pay more in each catagory depending on the product and retailer.

This list is in the order of price range, not performance range.

Here is by far the cheapest way out...
total up all the H/S/F solutions, and a dip or two or three into H20 cooling, like we all have who is H20'd.... and then compare it with this:http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/mer...duct_Code=9280

yes but that is also far beyond the cooling power of any water system
