Default BlueLine Pumps

The more I look at this beast, the "HD20", the more I like it..I think it will Plumb just fine to a big ol' reservoir and it says it's quieter than an Ilwaki...Was looking at the specs, and for about 1/2 the cost of the Ilwaki too. http://www.aquadirect.com/store/cust...cat=224&page=1
Hmmmm and the wheels go round and round. I see multi block impingent cooling in the future...

I strongly considered one of those for Project Nautilus. Considering it was designed by the same guy that designed the Iwaki pumps and the price is right. The only thing that put me off was a bit too much volume for the head rating and a 45 Watt current draw. I went with the Japanese motor Iwaki MD-15RT, 3 feet less head rating but at only 300 gph and 32 Watts. And about the same price.

And I'm not sure, but that housing looks like plastic.

And it's kinda big.

And it's yellow.

I kid. Plenty of people using MD-20's and 30's without a problem. I don't see why that wouldn't work just as well.

This guy begs for something like an RBX block running both of the outlets to seperate radiators and recombining them at a common reservoir. This would slow the flow in the cooling part of the loop allowing better cooling from the radiators and reduce the resistance at the outlets by avoiding the "Y" adapter alltogether.

The difference in the two motors was the Japaneese motor was quieter or longer lasting, seems the specs are the same...
