Question Pi-Thon Hose Locks on Chipset Block

I'm revamping my watercooled rig using half inch line and Pi-Thon polished hose locks. Everthing looks great with the exception of the chipset block ... it seems that the barbs on my DD Z-Chipset block are too close to allow the installation of the hose locks. Does anyone know of a chipset block that has a greater space between the barbs ... or maybe an angled barb set?

Thanks!
Kros

Most blocks are pretty tight in that area. The asetek is pretty wide with a larger footprint than most. It may work. Another option would be to find a short extension to set the barbs at different heights where the python's don't hit each other.

PolarFlo's chipset block has an option to run fittings either from the top or sides. One fitting on top and one fitting on the side and you'd have room. Provided of course you mobo has the space for a side mounted fitting. You could always just buy a 45 degree barb to give you a bit more clearance. http://reviews.pcapex.com/cooling/po...vga_blocks.php

I sent an e-mail to the guys and DD and asked if they could mount an untapped Z-Chip top on one of their older style VGA blocks. I think that would do the trick. I think even the 45 degree barbs angled away from one another might even be better ... any idea where I might find a pair without buying a whole new block?

Thanks!

McMaster Carr has most any fitting you could want if you can't find anything at local plumbing supply places. Usually you have to buy quite a few though.
