Question Rec's on radiators

Sup all,
Haven't posted here since the days of DD, i actually remember Akita's first post ...love the site, the content and articles rule.

But enough formalities... I'm delving into the world of watercooling, and just wondered if anybody had any experience with the black ice extreme radiators from Daner Den. They look cool, seem to dissipate a lot of heat, and i like that all they need is a 120 Pabst.

Input is appreciated... i'm prepared to spend 250 on just the water block, rad, and pump (plus misc stuff). I'll homebrew the resovoir myself to show it off.

Thx and nice to be back.

PS- I finally finished my car computer, running windows xp in a 30 sec boot with a 12 inch vga i scavenged... pictures to follow if anybody's interested.

I hate waking up to water cooling questions. Makes me late for work.

Briefly, I have no experience with the black ice line myself. From what I have seen, the rad perform very well. It is however tough to assess because rads are seldom pitted head to head with all other variables the same!

Anyhow, I think they are offer good cooling and small footprint making mounting a little easier.

I personally would not get one because the price is ridiculous! I am sure we could get better cooling for the same cash, or near equal cooling for way less cash.

So, to sum up.....if your pockets are deep it is a very good choice.

I do recall a radiator round up some time ago (I don't recall if Black Ice was included) I will try to find a link.

I just got the Black Ice Extreme for my new rig but haven't turned it on yet, hopefully it will be fired up by Thursday night. It was expensive, but it was the best I could find with the smallest footprint. Of course it is 3/4". I should have some initial cooling results by Friday.

Thumbs up

Look forward to hearing your results. 'm curious though, when you said "of course 3/4", what were you talking about? 3/4 inch tubing?? maybe 3/8?

In any event, i'm probably ordering one soon with a MAZE 3 block... then i'm buying a cheap case i can mod the crap out of.
