Default What Radiator to use?

I'm looking at getting a MC-TDX block for a new build soon and was wondering what the best HW Labs Radiator to get would be. I don't want to go larger than a 240 radiator.

I will probably be mounting it either on the inside top or inside bottom of the case.

For a double rad, PerformancePCs has two HW Labs rads that I would consider, the main diff between the two is the location of the fittings...

Black Ice Xtreme 2 High Peformance Radiator - Black [EXTREME2-BK] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

or

Black Ice Xtreme 2 X-Flow Radiator - Black Products Model: BIX2_XFLOW-BK [BIX2_XFLOW-BK] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

Both found on the HW Labs page at PPCs

(and no, Hank Baron is not paying me to plug their store... I WISH he was, though...)

Both of those are excellent rads. The only difference is dual pass (BIX2) vs single pass (X-Flow). I have always used the dual pass rads, so I can't tell you if there is a performance difference.

The best HWLabs radiators by a healthy margin are the GTX xtreme series.

But you can pick up a BIXII or xflow for about half the price that will probably do what you want. With a TDX, I'd probably opt for the xflow instead of the bix because of the lower pressure drop. If that is, you don't want to shell out the cash for the GTX.

The GTX is just the extreme version of the GTS, right? The onlyu difference being that it is thicker.

Pretty much, both are Gen 2 models.

The xtreme doesn't have a xflow model, it doesn't need one since the pressure drop is much less than the stealth models. The tubing is twice as big in the X version after all.

With both the stealth (GTS) and the GTX you can run lower flow pumps and lower speed fans and still equal the performance you would get with the BIXII. The GTX certainly isn't necessary, but it does let you run at lower noise levels with more headroom than the lower end models.
