| [Personal Opinion]: The intro kits like Big Water are decent, but if you're looking to really push the OCs (eventually you will), I would look at a piece-by-piece setup... Ready-made kits or even all-in-one setups with small-bore tubing can adequately cool your parts for minor OC and day-to-day cooling, but it seems that sometimes people take the lazy approach and just get it all in one shot, or they are doing so for the "Hey, MY PC is water-cooled... What's special about YOURS" aspect... It's been a bit since I have run a WC setup, but I went for quality parts, like Danger Den blocks, Tygon tubing, Eheim pumps, and Black Ice radiators. More spendy in the long run, but if you think about what you spend on WC parts as an investment in protecting your CPU/GPU/etc from the dangers of your need for speed, then it kind of becomes academic... | I've used a big water before, and it was quiet and ran just fine... but I didn't OC or anything. Like everyone else is saying, ready-to-go kits aren't very effective, and usually high-performance air will beat them out. Cheapie water kits are good for quieting down a system, but that's about it. Save up for a custom kit, done right, if you plan to OC at all. | ||

| Apex Advanced Techie | NEVER buy Thermaltake watercooling parts . . .they suck. I had two blocks crack and leak all over my GPUs. If you want low quality then go for it. You want a decent system go: 1. Danger Den 2. EK 3. Swiftech If you want a decent kit go Koolance but use ALL Koolance stuff do not mix with other brands. | |
