| My first loop wasn't set up the best. I had the output from the rad to the CPU block under the my 8800GTX causing the water to get reheated. I also had the res just sitting in the drive bays with one screw barely holding it in. Heres the picture -- In the new loop I ran the input the the rad under the 8800GTX so the output wouldn't be heated. I also mounted the res next to the pump and out of the drive bays. I think it looks a lot better and cleaner. Heres it after I re-did it -- Specs of my computer: Q6600 P5K Deluxe 2Gig Ballistix Tracers DDR2-1066 8800GTX Specs of the watercooling: DangerDen TDX CPU Block Swiftech Microres Swiftech MCP655-B Pump Hardware Labs Black Ice ProII What do you guys think? | ||

| Looks pretty clean man. How are your temps after redoing the loop? My guess is that you improved a little but nothing to cause an increased overclock? What are you running this rig at? I think its usually a better idea to keep the res on the bottom of the case just in case of leaks, but those are not too common if you clamped your tubing well, and it looks like you did. If you do have a leak somewhere having you res lower than the rest of the tubing helps, learned that the hard way. | ||

| Thanks! My Q6600 is running @ 3.5 @ 1.46v. Every think else is stock. Haven't tryed for a higher overclock yet, Idle temps are about 50C on every core because its like 90-95F in my room.. Sweating my balls off . And yes, all the clamps are very nice and tight. ![]() | ||

| that is one sexy looking loop you got there.... and i can sympathize with you on the heat thing. i remember the days without a swamp cooler. my sugestion is to get as many fans as you can in all the rooms and keep all your doors inside the house open | ||

| What fluid are you running? Not bad, i like the chrome TDX top. I can't wait to get my Brass top. Looks good, I never was a fan of external rad mounting setups, but it looks half decent. I just took the res out of my loop yesterday actually, damn primochill dual bays res leaks and cracks so easily... Went with a t-line and i'm working on making the case around that setup... | ||

| Man..that is ALOT of heat going in those loops, a Quad core and a 8800GTX! If you could just find a way to chill that Radiator...maybe 200 feet of Dryer Duct run out the window into the AC unit down in the basement? ![]() Myself..I'd drop it in a bucket of ice water and get that Quad up to 4ghz ![]() | ||
