![]() | hi I have a dual monitor settup NEC(primary) & HP In the device manager 3 listings are showing HP vs17 flat panel monitor NEC MultiSync 90GX2 (!) Unknown device The unknown device: Monitors Hewlett-Packard the drivers are not installed (code 28) Device Instance Id: ROOT.\MONITOR\0000 I'm not sure that there are any problems I've just been having some shutdown and resume problems lately and have been troubleshooting - and that's how I discovered it also windows-update offers a driver update for HP which I presume is for the unknown device because installation fails any idea what this 3rd listing might be and how it can be corrected thanks |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Delete/uninstall all of the monitors in the device manager. You may want to do this in "Safe Mode". Then restart the system and let Windows find your new devices and install them. Hopefully only your real ones show back up :-)
