Default Benq 24fp Help needed !

Well just got my monitor in, connected with dvi cable, and powered up. Set the resolution to 1900 by 1200 and the refresh rate is at 60Hz. The problem im having is that everytime i try to get on a website or have two web browsers open at one time the screen flickers on and off. Sometimes it happens for a few seconds and sometimes for a while. It flickers at start up when I get my DFI logo across the screen and also when i try to run a game. I have adequate power to the monitor and my gpu 7800gtx supports the resolution. I dont know what the hell is going on as I never had this problem before. All the drivers are updated to the newest 5.1 setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated and the quicker the better. thx btw is the refresh rate on this only 60? This is the only option that shows up in my menu.

IF that is a LCD, the 60MHZ , then it may be right! LCD'S are rated differently though, so I am not sure if there is any correspondance or need to adjust that.

I think you have the wrong model number though...I couldn't find it listed, I did see a couple versions thats were FP241 followed by W,WZ, or VW.

BenQ Global - Computing

Is there a driver monitor you may need?

The "Native" resolution is supposed to be:

Resolution1920 x 1200 (WUXGA)

Is that what yours is set to, and not the 1900x1200 you stated? If so..then it may be giving it fits, and you may need set up a "Custom Resolution" in the NVIDIA control panel.

I don't own a LCD (Hate them..long live the CRT!) but I have read enough about them to know they are very picky about having the correct "Native Resolution" or it may cause issues.

I would at least try removing the video card driver, delete the NVIDIA folder from your C: drive, and then run a program called "Driver cleaner"

If you just "Wrote over" your older drivers..it may be causing the bad behavouir.
