Default Cloning my laptop display

Well, i just got a VERY nice new sony monitor with daul inputs. I want to be able to use my laptops analog output on this. I went to plug it in and played around but can not get it to clone the screen, only extend my desktop out. I googled for programs but couldnt find any luck. It has ATI graphics built in if that helps. So any free program out there that would do what i want?

UltraMon. It' s not free, but there is a free 30 day trial. Really cool app.

**edit** Sorry, I'm an idiot.. didn't read your question well enough.
Use clone mode in the displays control panel on your laptop.
