Default Help me find a widescreen lcd

Well, Its time to ditch my CRT, I'm lookin for a nice widscreen lcd, for cheap, under 300$ if you can.

19" widescreen minimum, and has DVI

One thing I heard, a freind I know, bought this one

And he said something about the technology it uses, that it has troubles with gray's and dark area's, washed out, I'd like to avoid that

Dell.

Keep an eye out for coupons and deals via [http://slickdeals.net]SlickDeals[/url]. I got 2 20" widescreens, FPW-2005, for $350-400 almost a year ago. So the smaller ones should be cheapers. Here is the 19" regluar LCD for $254 normally. They do not make a 19" widescreen. The FPW2005 20.1 widescreen starts at $529. When I bought mine they were over $700, so if you are patient you can get a great deal on them. Otherwise go for the 19".

Cool

-Samsung, NEC, and Viewsonic are the LCD monitor Kings right now. Great products.

-Diamonds in the rough: Acer, Sceptre, LG, Sony (sometimes)

-A Dell LCD is basically a Samsung

-Acceptable Contrast Ratio for an LCD: 500:1 or higher

-Acceptable reaction time: for casual use 16ms, for gaming: 12ms, 8ms even better

Its probably the same screen as the acer you posted, there arent a lot of LCD OEMs, id assume 19" 8ms widescreens would be the same. Just like the apple and dell LCDs are the same.
