LCD trouble?

Well, yesterday, I was reading some forums, and suddenly I get a color change. I minimized to desktop, and the image was all pink and blue. But only on my primary LCD display..my secondary was fine. I messed with the settings and found that if I set the refresh rate to 75 instead of the default 60 it would return to normal. Except when gaming, the colors would come back. I removed the driver, used driver cleaner, then reinstalled. Same thing. I tried swapping the cables on the card and plugged my LCD into the analog and vice versa..with the same results. CRT is fine...LCD screwy. I pulled my 6800 GS out, and put in my old 9800 Pro..with the same results. Is it safe to say something is wrong with my LCD? It's wierd that I can browse the web and all and everything is fine....just screwy in games...Battlefield 42 and 2.

The games probably revert back to 60Mhz refresh rate when they play. Change the video settings so they stay at 75Mhz too.

That only treats the symptoms. The problem seems really weird, especially since you can take care of it by raising the refresh rate, which you should have at the highest you can run. Perhaps consult the manufacturer about the problem?

if all the green dissapears and your using an analog connection then its your cable.

I've tried it through 2 different cables. It's on a digital connection. The refresh rate in the games is at 75.

What make and model is it?

Wife got it for me at Wal-Mart. It's an IC Power. Never heard of them. This morning when I turned it on, it was messed up again. I had set the refresh rate to 70. The default is 60. It was working fine yesterday, but this morning I had to push it up to 75 which is it's max. If I put it on 70 it's messed up again. Really looking like the LCD to me.

do you turn off the lcd at night or let it go in stand by mode?

I always let it go in standby mode.

I can't find anything except walmart on that lcd. Has your warranty expired?

No, I believe it has a 13 month warranty.
