GeForce 6800 Dual Display setup

Am I able to use two displays but set at different resultions with my GeForce 6800 card ?

I would have my main screen at 1680 x 1050 via DVI and the second one at 1140 x 900 via D-SUB.

Can I have both screens outputting the same picture ?

One screen is in the corner of my room as a dedicated TV.

In short, yes those things are possible.

Check out UltraMon, its great for tweaking dual monitor setups.

Can't wait to get back to my dualies back at Uni...

I love my duals on my 6800, I have dual 1920 x 1200 monitors, and then another on the server!

another question : if the cables needed for the 2nd TFT are going to be a 3 and 5 metre joined together, will this added length diminish the picture quality ?

The biggest factor is the length but I think you should be fine over that distance.

All of you "dualies" are slackers.... Verderber has been a Trifecta of video glory for over a year now.... cant live with out that third!

Where as it may look good, running three displays isn't neccesary in most apex'ers scenarios. Its all about having one widescreen dispaly and possibly a 17 inch on the site for monitoring and the like.
