Turn it off, and grab a papertowel/rag and some *****. Spray the ****** onto the RAG not on the screen. Have fun cleaning!

holy #$#@ dont use windex! If it has anti glare coating that can damage it...i know a guy that did that. Use water or rubbing alchol (alcohol is used in the factory for cleaning before shipping).

Find the most lint free paper towels you can and use luke warm water. Wet the towel down and squeeze out the excess water and wipe the screen lightly. Don't press real hard. I would NOT reccomend using any cleaning solution unless it is for cleaning a lcd monitor.

I know better than to use windex 'cause i heard it could damage the screen, and mine does have anti glare coating or whatever. I was hoping that there was some cleaning product made for lcd screens, but since i heard water or rubbing alcohol will work then i might as well use them.

I have always sprayed windex onto a bounty paper towel and no issues as of now...

I always use one of these with one of these.

Also I remember reading that using water is a bad idea, but I can't remember why.

Thanks for the link zombi3. My screen is a streaky mess since I last tried to clean it. Playing X3 is a nightmare, cos I can't tell what's dust particles and what's stars.

Yeah, there's nothing more annoying than cleaning the screen and being left with a smeared mess.

Mr PC Clean is a very reliable site. Good delivery times. I get my compressed air from there too.

I'm afraid that last comment has necessitated rep giving. I've been looking to buy all three of those items for ages.
