| Reconsider on the RAM, you'll want either 2 sticks or 4 sticks because of the dual-channel ability. 3 sticks might put you in single-channel mode and that'll bog down everything. You're spot-on about staying at or under 3 gig, 32-bit OS's still can't handle any more than that. | ||

Sorry for being off topic, but how much of a difference does dual channeling make? I added another 1GB stick of DDR along with my 2X512MB sticks, and Im not really sure if the extra memory is worth the speed loss ![]() But I look forward to playing with your new setup, nem ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Can't go wrong with Corsair XMS. After looking it up, Tom's Hardware claims that there are minor gains with dual-channel over single-channel. On a side note, two sticks of RAM are supposedly easier to overclock than three sticks. If someone could verify this that would be helpful. | ||
