Sounds pretty solid to me...a few ideas:

Get lower latency RAM....4-4-4-12 @ 800mhz is the minimum you should be looking at really.

Are you sure those aftermarket coolers will fit in that case? It being m-atx, you may have clearance issues.

Yes i've seen reviews with both those coolers being used almost same exact setup just an 8800gt.

And to Slay you got any better ideas?

Reconsider on the RAM, you'll want either 2 sticks or 4 sticks because of the dual-channel ability. 3 sticks might put you in single-channel mode and that'll bog down everything.

You're spot-on about staying at or under 3 gig, 32-bit OS's still can't handle any more than that.

Sorry for being off topic, but how much of a difference does dual channeling make? I added another 1GB stick of DDR along with my 2X512MB sticks, and Im not really sure if the extra memory is worth the speed loss

But I look forward to playing with your new setup, nem

Can't go wrong with Corsair XMS.

After looking it up, Tom's Hardware claims that there are minor gains with dual-channel over single-channel. On a side note, two sticks of RAM are supposedly easier to overclock than three sticks. If someone could verify this that would be helpful.
